Merton L. Soule
Merton L. Soule, Sr 84 GORHAM - Merton L.Boone Soule, Sr, 84, died Sept. 2, 2008. Born August 4, 1924 in Portland, he was the son of Merton L. and Freida Seavey Soule. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. and was married to the late Elizabeth J. Blake Soule. Mr. Merton is survived by seven children, Betsy Campbell of Gray, Susan Shadley and her husband Gary of Alger, Ohio, Merton L. Soule, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Baldwin, Daniel B. Soule and his wife Brenda of Yarmouth, Diane Cunningham and her husband Paul of Freeport, Charles E. Soule of Cape Elizabeth and John M. Soule and his wife Sonya of Gray; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
